Very fine and rare Edwardian pendant watch by Verger Frères for Tiffany & Co., Paris, circa 1910, crafted in a rectangular form in solid platinum and 18K yellow gold. Decorated with engine-turned guilloché under green-blue glass enamel, with the distinctive mechanism that winds and sets by turning the bale, and fitted with a swivel movable ring for chain wear. Rectangular silvered dial with blued Roman numerals and blued steel Breguet hands, under beveled glass signed Tiffany & Co. The reverse features an enameled rectangular panel by Fernand Paillet depicting a draped female figure (Venus?) advancing with a trophy, accompanied by a winged cupid carrying a cup and a bouquet.
Very good conditions. All our diamonds and colored gemstones are naturally earth-mined. Any synthetic (lab-grown) stones will be clearly indicated in the description. Upon Request, Auction House may provide an appraisal. This will carry an additional cost. Appraisals are made by our in house GIA certified Gemologist.
