Fabulous convertible “doorknocker” earrings by Andrew Clunn, New York City, circa 1980, masterfully handcrafted in solid 18K rich yellow gold with fluted detailing and a mix of hammered and polished finishes for depth. Designed for versatility: wear as classic clip earrings or add the detachable dangle elements for a longer, statement look. Fitted with comfortable French hinged omega backs (posts may be added for pierced ears). Includes two matching removable black onyx hooplets totaling approx. 36 carats. Weight 42.50 grams; measures 46 x 26mm. Signed “A. CLUNN 18KT”.
Very good conditions. All our diamonds and colored gemstones are naturally earth-mined. Any synthetic (lab-grown) stones will be clearly indicated in the description. Upon Request, Auction House may provide an appraisal. This will carry an additional cost. Appraisals are made by our in house GIA certified Gemologist.
