Beautiful and rare French Art Deco pendant by Sasportas, Paris, circa 1925, crafted in 18K yellow gold and .900 platinum with black hot enamel and natural gemstones. Features a seated Buddha carved from a single piece of natural blue lapis lazuli, adorned with old European cut diamonds and a 5 mm white pearl necklace. Set with 68 old European cut diamonds (1.32 ct, G/H color, VS/SI clarity), topped with a 7 mm natural salmon coral, and resting on a large green malachite carving. Measures 40 x 105.1 x 15 mm (1.57 x 4.14 x 0.60 in), weighing 71.6 grams. Stamped with French eagle assay marks, Sasportas maker’s cartouche, and serial number 70240.
Condition
The overall condition of this pendant is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
