This Ronson Touch-Tip Octette table lighter, crafted by Ronson Art Metal Works Inc. in Newark, New Jersey, between 1935 and 1951, is a stunning piece of Art Deco and Machine Age design. Known for revolutionizing the market by replacing strike lighters, this model features a streamlined design with polished chrome, a brown Bakelite body, and a green felt-padded base. This particular version, produced after 1942, includes a half-circle cover over the flint wheel and a square-shaft wand with a tapered cone knob. Weighing 375.40 grams (0.83 pounds) and measuring 90 x 64 x 91 mm (3.54 x 2.52 x 3.58 inches), it is in exceptional, near-mint condition. A beautiful and functional collectible, it exemplifies the elegance and innovation of the Art Deco era.
