Extremely rare Ronson Art Deco desk Striker Lighter in the form of an elephant, made in New Jersey (USA) by Art Metal Works for The Ronson Co., circa 1935. Executed in polished chromed steel with distinctive “Ivoroid” plastic tusks, mounted to an oval black base for a bold, sculptural desktop presence. Marked with maker’s label “FASHIONED BY RONSON.” Weight 597.5 grams (1.32 pounds); measures 82.55 x 91.44 x 116.84 mm (3.25 x 3.60 x 4.6 inches).
