Whimsical seated lion brooch by Fred of Paris, circa 1970s, one of the Maison’s most iconic designs. Crafted in solid 18K yellow gold with a textured finish, decorated with black, red, and white glass enamel, and set with two bezel-set pear-shaped Colombian emerald eyes totaling approx. 0.12 ctw. Fitted with a hinged vertical pin bar and trombone security lock. Weight 15.45 grams; measures 33 x 26 x 13mm. French hallmarks including maker’s lozenge “Ste. K” and eagle’s head, signed “FRED PARIS .750”.
