A fabulous pair of late 20th-century European clip-on earrings, crafted in a bold squared form in solid 18k yellow gold with a refined textured brushed finish. Striking and substantial, they’re centered with a magnificent matched pair of Italian corals, bezel-set for a clean, modern look, and fitted with comfortable French omega backs for secure clip wear (with posts easily added for pierced ears). The earrings feature two square cabochon-cut natural vivid corals measuring 18 x 18 x 6 mm, with a combined weight of approximately 28.14 carats. The pair weighs 35.60 g (22.82 dwt) and measures 26 x 26 x 10 mm (1.02 x 1.02 x 0.39 in). Stamped with maker’s mark and gold assay marks, and signed “E-S .750 STE SGDG.” Accompanied by a presentation jewelry box and preserved in excellent condition, showing only light normal wear, with both corals secure and the earrings carefully inspected to confirm condition and authenticity.
