Gorgeous Belle Époque/Edwardian brooch, England, circa 1900–1910, crafted in solid 18K yellow gold with a platinum-topped front to enhance the diamond settings, finished with crisp millegrain and classical motifs. Set with 42 natural diamonds, highlighted by four larger old European-cut round diamonds in prong/bezel settings totaling approx. 1.65 ctw (F/G color, VS clarity), plus 37 graduated old European/round single-cut diamonds in French flush settings totaling approx. 1.09 ctw (F–I color range, VS/SI). Fitted with a hinged horizontal pin bar and hook lock. Weight 8.45 grams; measures 42 x 36mm. Unmarked; tested for gold and platinum.
