A beautiful vintage pair of Cartier Paris earrings from the late 1970s, masterfully crafted in solid 18k yellow gold with a high-polished finish and set with a striking sapphire-and-diamond composition. The tops are adorned with 8 oval cabochon natural vivid blue sapphires in prong settings totaling approximately 6.80 carats, framed by 40 round brilliant-cut diamonds in French pavé totaling approximately 2.80 carats (E color, VS clarity), and finished with 2 round brilliant-cut center diamonds in four-prong settings totaling approximately 0.25 carats (E color, VS clarity)—for 50 gemstones in total. Fitted with gold posts for pierced ears and comfortable French omega backs for secure wear, the pair weighs 12.95 g (8.30 dwt) and measures 22 x 19 x 7 mm (0.87 x 0.75 x 0.27 in). Both earrings are stamped with French hallmarks including the eagle head for 18k gold, atelier maker’s mark Ste. EB in a lozenge cartouche, and signed “CARTIER PARIS .750.” Accompanied by a certificate appraisal prepared by a GIA-certified gemologist detailing gemstone characteristics and current market replacement value, plus a presentation jewelry box; in excellent condition, showing only light normal wear, with no damage to the gold and all stones secure, and carefully inspected to confirm condition and authenticity.
