Antique Byzantine Orthodox medal pendant, centered with a late 17th-century archaeological copper medal from Novgorod, Russia (sand-cast circa 1640–1680), mounted in a custom reversible frame that allows viewing of both engraved sides. The frame is masterfully crafted in vermeil (18K gold over sterling silver) and set with 47 antique rose-cut round diamonds in flush settings totaling approx. 0.48 ctw (mixed SI/I clarity). Finished with a jeweled jump ring for chain wear. Weight 9.75 grams; measures 32 x 38mm. Literature reference: N.V.
