Exceptional Art Deco “movie star” double-garland necklace, America, circa 1935, crafted in solid platinum and lavishly set with 222 natural diamonds for dramatic, red-carpet brilliance. Set with 124 European-cut round diamonds in prong and pavé settings totaling 9.92 ctw (F/G/H color, VS/SI), plus 78 round brilliant diamonds in millegrain settings totaling 1.56 ctw (F/G color, VS2), and 20 caliber straight baguette diamonds in channel settings totaling 1.20 ctw (F/G color, VS/SI). Finished with a round gem-set push lock designed to sit at the back of the neck. Weight 43.85g; fits up to a 16" (40cm) neck; front drop and back lock measure 15mm. Hallmarked “PLAT.”
