Fabulous and rare late Victorian festoon Bohemian necklace, England, 1880s, masterfully crafted in gilt metal. Composed of nineteen links and five dangle drops, set with 398 natural vivid red garnets in rose and cabochon cuts (oval, pear, and round; approx. 112.9 ct total). Necklace measures 16.25 inches (41.28 cm) with a concealed push box clasp; center dangle is 56 mm (2.20 in). Weighs 98.40 grams. An iconic and eye-catching antique in outstanding preservation. The overall condition of this Victorian festoon necklace is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage and the 398 red garnets are secured in their settings. This necklace was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
