Victorian festoon necklace, England/Europe, circa 1870–1890, crafted in 9K yellow gold (electronically tested .375) and set with rich purple amethysts and seed pearls. Centered by a cushion-cut amethyst in a bezel setting (15 x 12 x 7mm; approx. 6.04 ct), with two oval amethyst station links (approx. 1.90 ctw) and three pear-shaped amethyst drops (approx. 7.50 ctw), all bezel-set. Accented with 30 inlaid round pearls (1.50mm). Weight 9.50g; fits up to 16.25" (41.28cm); center drop 60mm. Excellent condition; stones secure. Includes presentation jewelry box.
