Extremely rare celestial pendant-necklace by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co., New York City, 1980. Features a single polished lapis lazuli sphere (40 x 40 x 50 mm) adorned with 15 bezel and flush-set graduated round brilliant diamonds (2.45 ct, E/F color, VS1 clarity). Crafted in solid 18K yellow gold and .900 platinum with high polish. Weighs 87.25 grams, fitted with concealed ring for chain or designer’s 32-inch black cord. Stamped with maker’s mark, gold assay, and signed “TIFFANY & CO. 18KT IRID PLAT 1980 PALOMA PICASSO.”
