A beautiful and extremely rare pair of clip-on earrings by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co., created in New York City in 1977 and designed as elegant comma shapes in solid 18K yellow gold with a polished finish. Each earring is mounted with a fancy cabochon carving of natural Afghani blue lapis lazuli, showcasing the designer's signature sculptural sensibility and minimalist aesthetic. Fitted with comfortable hinged omega backs for secure clip wear (posts for pierced ears can be added if desired), the earrings weigh 14.6 grams and measure 23 x 18 x 7mm. Both are stamped with maker's marks and signed "©T&CO 18 KT." These are strong collector's items reflecting Cummings' celebrated work during her Tiffany collaboration period.
