Gorgeous and rare ring created by the jewelry designer Temple St. Clair. This poison cocktail ring was made at her workshop studio in Italy and crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with a great selection of earth mined natural gemstones. Fitted with a discrete hinged lid with a little compartment to place a small memento or perfume. Can be opened by a push snap lock.
Poison rings, alternately referred to as pillbox, compartment, locket or vessel rings. Also had a benign purpose. During the Middle Ages, they were often used to hide relics of saints, like bits of their hair, bone and teeth, which were thought to protect the wearer from various calamities and maladies.
Diamonds: Mount in a bezel setting, with 4 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.11 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-2 clarity.
Moonstone: Mount in the center in a bezel setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (12 x 16 x 8 mm) carved from natural moonstone of 10.99 carats.
Birthstone: Moonstone, for the month of June.

Measurements: 22 mm by 19 mm (0.83 x 0.63 Inches) and raise 5 mm over the finger.
