This is a very nice petrol pocket lighter, created in Spain during the Art-Deco period, back in the 1920. The case of the lighter was constructed by the customization of a genuine large Spanish silver coin of 5 pesetas, struck in Madrid in the 1885 in the name of king Alfonso XII. It is fitted with a concealed three hinges bar and a snap push closure.
Weight: 28.75 Grams, (18.45 Dwt). Measurements: Diameter of 38 mm and a width of 8 mm (1.51 x 0.32 Inches). Hallmarks: No marks, tested for .900 sterling silver.
The overall condition of this lighter is perfect. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
