Fabulous avant garde petrol table lighter, created in the 1954 by the American artist Harold Sitterle for the Ronson Company. This rare ultra modernist piece was manufactured in very limited edition by the Rosenthal Porcelaine Company, based in Germany. The lower part is crafted in glossy white porcelain and the upper section in matte black porcelaine. It is crowned with a lighter made up in chromed steel and golden steel. Weight: 418.6 Grams, (0.93 Pounds). Measurements: Diameter in the base is 108 mm and a height of 216 mm (4.25 x 8.51 Inches).

Literature: TIMES magazine November 8, 1954, Pictured, See figure. Museums: Permanent collection at MOMA, New York, NY. Note: This piece has been produced with inverted color variations in the base and the upper part. The original retail price back in the 1954 was 32.50 USD. Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the porcelain.
