This an extremely rare heart shaped pocket petrol lighter, created in New Jersey United States by The Ronson Co. during the art deco period, back in the 1937. This is a very unusual lighter, originally designed by Louis V. Aronson and model 5594, Made with wonderful geometric patterns and embellished with the rare and desirable Faux Tortoise lacquer. Ronson Catalogue: Model number 5594. Model: Heart shape lighter. Inventor: Louis V. Aronson. Manufacturer: Ronson Art Metal Work. Weight: 40.95 Grams, (25.45 Dwt). Measurements: 48 mm by 42 mm by 13 mm (1.89 x 1.65 x 0.52 Inches). Marks: Stamped with the maker's mark and signed, "RONSON US PAT.RE.NO.19023 RONSON ART METAL WKS INC NEWARK NJ US PAT.RE.NO.19023".
