An exceptional and very rare published pair of Raymond C. Yard clip-on earrings, circa 1943, executed in .900 platinum with palladium plating and a crisp deco-retro silhouette. Each earring is prong-set with round brilliant diamonds (0.24 carats total, E/F color, VS-2 clarity) and round blue sapphires (0.28 carats total), and crowned with graduated sugarloaf cabochon cat’s-eye moonstones totaling an impressive 14.82 carats. Fitted with hinged omega backs; posts for pierced ears easily added. Signed and numbered "YARD 01044". 25.6 x 19 mm. Weight: 16.95 grams. Very good conditions.
