A beautiful and elegant cocktail ring by Mauboussin, Paris, crafted in the late 1980s in solid 18K white gold with a high-polish finish and classic, refined proportions. The masterfully designed ring is centered with an oval step-cut natural vivid blue sapphire measuring 5 x 7 x 4mm and weighing approximately 1.06 carat, surrounded by a French pavé of 42 graduated round brilliant-cut diamonds totaling approximately 2.18 carats (E/F color, VS clarity), for a combined gemstone weight of approximately 3.24 carats. The elegant composition weighs 8.30 grams, is currently size 6.5 (easily resizable upon request), measures 21 x 14mm, and rises 6mm off the finger. Stamped with French hallmarks including the eagle head assay mark and the Mauboussin atelier cartouche "Ste. FW," and signed "MAUBOUSSIN PARIS .750." Very good conditions.
