Carved gemstones flowers have been a high specialty in Austria and Germany for many years. These beautiful colorful pair of organic earrings has been made at the atelier of Johann Hoburka in Vienna Austria during the post war period, back in the 1950. Crafted with delicate pieces of green jadeite and blue lapis lazuli carved into the shapes of flowers in bloom, a bud and sepal with stem, and a full leaf complete with tiny, plain edges and realistic veins. Carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and fitted with French hinged omega backs for fastening clips.
Diamonds: The blue flowers are accented with four-prongs settings mounted with 12 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.48 carats, F color, VS-2 clarity.
Gemstones: Carved natural blue lapis lazuli and green nephrite jade.
Weight: 12.7 Grams, (8.14 Dwt).
Measurements: 33.5 mm by 24 mm (1.32 x 0.95 Inches).
Hallmarks: From its hallmark, it can be determined that this was created in Vienna Austria for export and sale outside the country. Stamped with the maker's mark inside a lozenge, the Vienna gold assay mark and signed, "JH .750", (Johann Hoburka).
Condition
The overall condition of these earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones are secured in the settings.
