Very rare Art Deco necklace, circa 1930, featuring fifty-seven graduated carved natural coral beads from the Japanese Meiji period (circa 1880). Each bead is intricately carved with floral motifs and spaced by 18K yellow gold dividers. Necklace measures 29.5 inches (75 cm) in length, with beads ranging from 8 mm to 18 mm (0.31 x 0.71 in). Total weight is 98.6 grams. A striking and collectible piece blending Meiji artistry and Art Deco design. Very good conditions. All our diamonds and colored gemstones are naturally earth-mined.
