Exceptional Art Deco brooch, Germany, 1920, crafted in solid .925/.999 sterling silver. Features a seated enthroned Buddha carved from natural translucent carnelian, complemented by a trillion faceted carnelian and 11 flush-set faceted marcasites. Measures 58 x 15 x 5 mm (2.28 x 0.59 x 0.20 in), weighing 6.75 grams. Fitted with a hinged vertical bar and mechanical safety lock. Stamped with maker’s mark, silver assay, and signed “STERLING GERMANY.” The overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver.
