A fantastic and substantial pair of Garrard & Co. Art Deco clip earrings, created in London, England (circa 1930) and crafted in solid .900 platinum. Richly set with a total of 62 natural earth-mined gemstones, they combine crisp diamond brilliance with vivid ruby color in a classic Deco geometry, and are fitted with comfortable hinged clip backs for secure wear. The earrings are set with 26 French calibre-cut Burmese rubies in channel settings totaling approximately 1.92 carats, and 36 graduated European round-cut diamonds in bezel and flush settings totaling approximately 2.46 carats (F color, VS2 clarity). Weighing 14.45 g (9.30 dwt) and measuring 32 x 13 mm (1.26 x 0.51 in), they are presented in the original jewelry box for added collector appeal. Stamped with the maker’s mark and two sets of six-digit serial numbers, “S41416.” Very good conditions. All our diamonds and colored gemstones are naturally earth-mined.
