Vintage pin brooch, created in Valenza Italy by Aldo Garavelli during the mid-century modern period, back in the late1950's. This nice brooch has been crafted in the shape of a dachshund dog in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with incised textured finish. Fitted with a hinged pin bar and a mechanical twisted security lock.
Ruby: The eye is mount, with 1 round brilliant cut of a natural red ruby of 0.01 carats.
Birthstone: Ruby for the month of July.
Weight: 9.95 Grams, (6.38 Dwt).
Measurements: 36 mm by 21 mm (1.42 x 0.83 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark associated to Aldo Garavelli, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "AG K18 ITALY 237AL".
