Very nice French neo-classical piece from the period of the king Louis Phillipe (1830-1848). This handsome and elegant Hoilier Cruet was crafted in the city of Lyon by silversmith Armand Caillat, circa 1838. Made from solid .950/.999 sterling silver and individually assembled with three screws and several pins. Weight: The sterling parts have a total of 405 Grams (13.03 Oz) Measures: 8.02 by 4.03 by 11.5 Inches (20.3 x 10.2 x 29.2 Cm). Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; four times with the head of Minerva (hexagonal cartouche) for the assay and guaranty of the 95% silver and two times with the maker's maitre lozange cartouche AC associated to Armand Caillat of Lyon.

Note: The 6 sides cartouche with the head of Minerva, means .950/.999 silver purity. Four sides cartouche means .800/.999. Note: The AC cartouche inside a lozange, is the maker's mark for the silversmith, Thomas Joseph Armand Caillat. It in in great condition with no dents or previous repairs.
