This piece of jewelry is an exceptional and very sophisticated design, created in Paris France by the jewelry designer Jean Dinh Van, back in the 1991. This is the larger forty mm Pi pendant-necklace, carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 24 karats (.999/.999 Au) with a delicate hammered finish. The Pi figure is suspended in an adjustable silk cord. The design of this piece was originally inspired by an 11th century Mayan gold disc, found in the Yucatan peninsula, and is actually exhibited at the Museo Nacional De Antropologia in Mexico. This gold disc blends perfectly with the geometric motif so dear to the Maison of Dinh Van. Weight: 20.75 grams, (13.31 Dwt.). Size: 20 Inches (50.8 Cm) and can be adjusted longer or shorter.
