Outstanding cocktail ring by David Webb, New York, 1975, crafted in solid 18K yellow gold with platinum diamond settings and bold geometric patterns. Centered by a bezel-set oval cabochon blue sapphire (16.5 x 14.5 x 15 mm, 36.24 ct), surrounded by 42 prong-set marquise brilliant diamonds (4.20 ct, F color, VS2). Measures 30 x 16 mm (1.18 x 0.63 in), rises 16 mm, size 7.5 (resizable), weighing 24.5 grams. Stamped with maker’s mark, gold and platinum assay, and signed “©DAVID WEBB 18KT PLAT.” Rare and highly collectible.
