Gorgeous modernist cocktail ring by David Webb, New York, 1970, crafted in solid 18K yellow gold and platinum with bold geometric patterns. Features a bezel-set oval cabochon blue star sapphire (12 x 11 x 10 mm, 14.38 ct) and 14 flat prong-set round brilliant diamonds (2.80 ct, F color, VS2/SI1). Measures 23 x 18 mm (0.91 x 0.71 in), rises 15 mm, size 5 (resizable, spring sizer), weighing 22.70 grams. Stamped with maker’s mark, gold and platinum assay, and signed “©WEBB PLAT 18 KT.” Rare and collectible piece.
