A gorgeous presentation desk clock created in Paris France during the Art-Deco period, circa 1930's. Designed by the house of Cartier and carefully crafted in 18 karats yellow gold, with accents in .900 platinum for the diamonds settings
Very good vintage conditions.
Decorated with applications of white, blue and gray enamel over a guilloche pattern. The reverse back cover, is made from gilded bronze and is suited with a hinged stand for display.
The main part is mounted in a single carved piece of translucent natural brownish agate and the corners are embellished with 4 platinum rosettes, set with 32 European rose cuts diamonds (0.64 cts).
The dial is decorated with a geometric design guilloche, with applications of blue gray enamel and the clock hands are accented by an additional 9 rose cut diamonds (0.27 cts).
Have a measures of 89 mm by 89 mm (3.5 x 3.5 inches).
The reverse case is stamped, with the maker's mark, the the serial numbers and signed, "CARTIER 594".
