Very rare geometric round pieces created in 1974, in the city of New York by Aldo Cipullo.
Perfect conditions.
This pair is from the "Circles" collection, crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold and suited with omega backs for fastening clips.
The gold parts is surmounted a circular donut element carved from natural black onyx and gripped with two screws.
These parts are embellished with a pave setting of natural rounds brilliant cuts gemstones; 10 diamonds (0.50 Ctw, D.E color, VVS-1 clarity) and 48 Burmese red rubies (2.45 Ctw).
Have a combined weight of 37.2 grams and a measures of 33.5 mm (1.32 inches) by 26.3 mm (1.03 inches).
Each one is tamped at the reverse with, maker's mark, the assay hallmarks and signed, "CARTIER 1974 ALDO CIPULLO 18 KT".
