Fabulous sculptural pair of ear-clips made in New York city by the jewelry designer Aldo Cipullo. This rare geometric pair was created during the collaboration period with the jewelry house of Cartier (1969-1975) as a designer. This pair of earrings are from the iconic "Circles" collection, and they were carefully crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold with high polished finish. The yellow gold parts hug a circular element, carved from natural black onyx which is gripped from the back by two screws.
Coral: Mounted in posts settings, with 10 spherical cabochon cut (5.5 mm) of natural Sardinian red coral, with an approximate weight of about 12 carats.
Weight: 39.95 grams (25.61 Dwt). Measurements: 35 mm by 30 mm (1.38 x 1.18 inches). Hallmarks: They are both stamped at the reverse, with the maker's mark, the serial numbers, the date of production, the gold assay mark and signed, "CARTIER 1974 ©A. CIPULLO 18 KT HYA551".
