A fabulous pair of Aldo Cipullo ear-clips, created in New York City (1973) and representing the oversized model from his iconic "Circles" collection—designed during his celebrated collaboration with Cartier (1969–1975). These geometric earrings are very rare and showcase Cipullo's signature architectural approach. Crafted in solid 18k yellow gold with a high-polished finish, they feature bold circular elements carved from natural frosted rock quartz, gripped from the back by two concealed screws for a seamless, modern aesthetic. The centers are embellished with six channel-set sugarloaf cabochon carnelians (5 mm) carved from natural translucent vivid orangish-reddish stone, with an approximate combined weight of 42 carats. Fitted on the reverse with comfortable hinged French omega backs for secure clip wear (with posts easily added for pierced ears), the pair weighs 48.5 g (31.10 dwt) and measures 34 x 32 x 16 mm (1.34 x 1.26 x 0.63 in). Both are stamped with maker's mark, date 1973, serial numbers, and 18k assay marks, and signed "CARTIER 1973 ©A. CIPULLO 18KT 22563." Very good conditions.
