This elegant butane pocket lighter by Cartier, crafted in Paris during the 1970s, features a rectangular oval design in solid plaque d'argent with an engine-turned guilloché finish. It includes a concealed lid, a butane hinge, and a flint screw. Made from .925 silver-plated material (30 microns), it weighs 82.95 grams (31.65 dwt) and measures 70 x 25 x 10 mm (2.76 x 0.98 x 0.39 inches). The lighter is stamped with French marks, Cartier's maker's mark, and the serial number, reading: "CARTIER PARIS D74688 PLARGENT G 30 MICRONS SF."
