A fabulous pair of flames ear-clips by Aldo Cipullo for Cartier, created in New York City circa 1969–1970 during his celebrated in-house designer collaboration with the Maison (1969–1975). These striking pieces are from the early spikes collection and masterfully crafted in solid 18K yellow gold with a high-polish finish, showcasing Cipullo's signature sculptural language. The earrings are embellished with eight well-matched round brilliant-cut diamonds in four-prong settings totaling approximately 0.40 carat (E/F color, VS clarity), and centered with two oval cabochon natural blue lapis lazuli carvings measuring 12 x 10 x 6mm (approx. 6.24 carats total) for striking color contrast. Fitted with comfortable hinged French omega backs for secure clip wear (posts for pierced ears can be added upon request), the earrings weigh 24.5 grams and measure 38 x 26mm. Both are stamped at the reverse and signed "CARTIER ©A. CIPULLO 18 KT."
