Fabulous flames ear-clips by Aldo Cipullo for Cartier, New York, 1969–1970, from the early spikes collection, crafted in solid 18K yellow gold with high polish. Set with 8 four-prong round brilliant diamonds (0.40 ct, E/F, VS) and 2 concealed oval cabochon lapis lazuli (12 x 10 x 6 mm, approx. 6.24 ct). Measures 38 x 26 mm (1.50 x 1.02 in), total weight 24.5 grams. Fitted with hinged French omega backs; gold posts can be added. Stamped with maker’s mark, gold assay, and signed “CARTIER ©A.
