A spectacular pair of convertible French bracelets, created in Paris circa the 1970s at the André Vassort atelier for Boucheron, masterfully crafted in solid 18K yellow gold with a high-polish finish. Designed to be worn separately or joined via a pin lock and hinged clasp, the two bracelets form an impressive long jewel, composed of eight fluted round rock-crystal (quartz) elements linked by textured rounded connectors, each centered with a round cabochon black onyx (9mm; approx. 45 carats total). The links are further enriched with an impeccable French pavé of 48 round brilliant-cut diamonds totaling approximately 3.85 carats (E/F color, VS1 clarity), adding exceptional sparkle to the bold graphic design. The combined weight is a substantial 116.9 grams; each bracelet measures 7.5 inches (15 inches / 38cm when connected). Both are stamped with clear French hallmarks including multiple eagle head assay marks, the maître cartouche “AV” for André Vassort, individual serial numbers, and signed “BOUCHERON OR .750 2467 / 2567.” Accompanied by the designer’s jewelry box, the set remains in excellent condition with only minimal wear and all gemstones secure; literature reference: Gilles Néret, Boucheron, Histoire d’une dynastie de joailliers, Pont Royal, p. 190, ill. 290 (L’ère du cristal, 1972).
