This is a Bitossi vase crafted in Florence Italy in blue glazed ceramic and gold. This is the larger scale vase with perfect proportions, glazed in a textured blue with hints of green with a gilt glazed tapered base from the Bitossi "Cinese" collection. The Cinesi series was designed by Aldo Londi and was composed of decorative accessories like vases, lamps, candle holders, and sculptures. Drew heavily from the forms and patinations of ancient Chinese bronze vessels. Bitossi distributed the Cinese collection via New York's Rosenthal Netter stores. Designer: Aldo Londi for Bitossi. Country: Florence, Italy. Period: Post-War, Mid-Century, Modern, 1964. Weight: About 3 pounds, (1.48 Kg). Measurements: Diameter of 120 mm and a height of 305 mm (4.75 x 12 Inches).
