Exceptional Art Nouveau brooch, Austria or Germany, circa 1890, crafted in 18K yellow gold with exquisite Plique-à-Jour enamel work. Features a hanging eight-prong set European rose cut diamond (0.50 ct, F, VS/SI), 52 mixed old European rose cut diamonds (0.78 ct, G, VS/SI), three bezel-set round rubies (0.18 ct), and three graduated round white pearls. Measures 42 x 28 mm (1.65 x 1.10 in), weighing 6.85 grams. Fitted with a hinged stem pin bar and security hook. A striking example of period artistry.
