A beautiful, delicate American Art Deco jewel from the 1930s, designed as a versatile convertible necklace-to-brooch and expertly crafted in .900 platinum with .100 iridium. The piece is accompanied by its period 16.5 in (41.9 cm) chain and engineered with double side clips to attach/remove the chain, plus a hinged horizontal pin bar with a mechanical security lock for confident brooch wear. Set with exceptional graduated diamonds (G/H color, VS2 clarity), it features 44 prong-set round brilliant cuts (approx. 3.08 ctw, 1.9–3.1 mm), 18 channel-set calibre straight baguettes (approx. 0.90 ctw, 2.1–4.0 mm), and 2 prong-set rare Calf step-cut diamonds measuring 6 x 6 x 6 mm (approx. 1.04 ctw). The main element weighs 12.2 g and measures 46 x 28 mm (1.81 x 1.10 in); the chain weighs 2.8 g. Accompanied by a descriptive appraisal #6402-E dated October 8, 2016, detailing gemstone cuts, measurements, weights, and characteristics, plus a presentation jewelry box; in excellent condition, showing only light normal wear, with no damage to the platinum and all stones secure, and the piece carefully inspected to confirm condition and authenticity.
