Exceptionally beautiful Art Deco ring, circa 1930s, crafted in solid platinum in a bold cushion-shaped design with crisp geometric lines and fine millegrain throughout. Centered with a bezel-set cushion cabochon natural Australian opal (14.06 x 11.70 x 4.5mm; 4.36 ct) displaying vivid pinfire play-of-color in blue/green/purple/red, noted free of crazing, scratching, or pitting. Accented with 26 European-cut round brilliant diamonds in French flush settings totaling approx. 1.65 ctw (F color, VS2 clarity). Weight 8.95 grams; size 6.5 (sizable); measures 20 x 22mm. Hallmarked “PLAT”.
