Beautiful pair of tromp l'oeil clips-on earrings, created in New York city by Angela Cummings, back in the 1980's. These earrings has been crafted in the op-art style in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. Embellished with a wonderful three-dimensional geometric pattern made up by four carvings of natural gemstones settled in the gold.
Black Onyx: Mount in inlaid settings, 2 fancy cabochon cut carvings of natural black onyx with a weight of about 8 carats.
White Nacre: Mount in inlaid settings, 2 fancy cabochon cut carvings of natural white nacre with a weight of about 10 carats.
Weight: 17.60 grams (11.28 Dwt.). Measures: 26 mm by 22 mm by 5 mm (1.01 x 0.87 x 0.20 Inches). Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "©ANGELA CUMMINGS 18KT".
